The Alternative Art School offers a global art community and membership program alongside live online art classes with the most visionary artists, dreamers, and doers across the globe. 

Attending artists are introduced to a global community of working artists, bridging St. Paul, Minnesota to Taipei, Taiwan; Kuwait City to Lima, Peru, and Berlin, Germany to Melbourne, Australia. 

We believe strongly that art and artists matter in society.

The Alternative Art School is much more that online classes with some of the best artists and curators in the world. We are also a community of globally based working artists, supporting each other in efforts to build an art world that reflects our interests. We host a membership program built for working artists at any stage in their artistic journey. Our membership program is designed to be easily accessible to flexible to fit into your daily life, which interconnecting your to a global network of creatives and to encourage you to form a deeper and meaningful connection to your art practice.

Our digital campus is just that, a campus; with student clubs, events, and directories. We use facilitate a range of events and prompts to help foster relationships between artists and encourage artistic growth, collaboration, and sharing.

TAAS Membership is a global art community that offers resources, events, skill building workshops, peer-peer feedback, and networking opportunities for working artists at any stage in their practice. We have live virtual events and digitally delivered materials to keep you engaged with your practice and motivated towards your creative goals.

TAAS started in 2020 providing masterclasses to small intimate global cohorts of working artists. We still offer these premium experiences but have expanded our offerings to include workshops.  All our courses are taught by cutting edge thinkers and do-ers.

Classes can be taken without becoming a member to TAAS, but members receive many benefits to our classes including priority enrollment and special discounts.
